About our Mazda BT-50 suspension upgrades

We stock around 80 BT-50 suspension parts, from complete lift kits to struts, leaf springs and airbags, from CalOffroad Platinum, CalOffroad Nitro Pro, Fox, Bilstein and Polyair. Every BT-50 uses independent front suspension with coil-over struts and leaf springs at the rear, but parts differ between generations because each one shares its platform with a different ute.

A practical tip: if you're lifting your BT-50 much past 2 inches, plan for upper control arms and a diff drop to keep your camber and CV angles in check. Lifts over 50mm usually need engineering approval, so check the rules in your state. Choose your BT-50 below, or call us on 1300 225 494 for fitment help.

BT-50 lift kits

Most BT-50 builds start with a complete lift kit. Our CalOffroad Platinum and Nitro Pro Tour Pack kits come in 2-inch and 3-inch heights, with front struts, rear shocks and leaf springs matched to how you load your ute. Choose a Mazda lift kit rated for the weight you carry every day, such as a canopy, drawers or a van on the towbar, so the ride stays comfortable when the tray is empty.

Suspension upgrades for the Mazda BT-50

  • Shocks and struts: pre-assembled front struts, coilovers and rear shocks from CalOffroad Nitro Pro, Fox and Bilstein.
  • Leaf springs: raised and heavy-duty rear leaf packs that carry a tray, canopy or towbar load without sagging.
  • Upper control arms: restore caster and camber after a front lift.
  • Diff drop kits: bring front CV angles back into range after a lift.
  • Greasable shackles and pins: serviceable rear shackles for a quieter rear end.
  • Airbags: Polyair airbags level the rear when you tow or carry a full load.

Other BT-50 parts

  • Snorkels: BT-50 snorkels from Safari raise the air intake for dust and water crossings.
  • Underbody protection: Rival 4x4 bash plates and fuel tank armour.

Mazda BT-50 suspension FAQs

Do Ford Ranger parts fit the BT-50?

For the Gen 2 BT-50 (04/2011 – mid 2021), many do, because it was built alongside the Ranger PX1, PX2 and PX3. For the Gen 3 BT-50 (09/2020 on), no: it shares its platform with the Isuzu D-MAX instead. Every listing shows its fitment, so select your generation above.

What's the best BT-50 suspension upgrade for towing?

Start with heavy-duty rear leaf springs rated for your towball and tray load, then match the shocks to them. Add airbags if you only tow now and then. Call us with your van weight and we'll suggest a setup.

What about Mazda BT-50 suspension returns?

All BT-50 suspension return requests require before and after height measurements from the centre of the wheel to the guard at each corner. Final heights are estimates and change with the load you carry, so check your tyre pressures and the weight behind the rear axle before contacting us.

Do you offer installation services for BT-50 parts?

While CalOffroad doesn't offer direct installation services, we can provide you with comprehensive instructions and support to guide you through the installation process. If you're not comfortable doing the installation yourself, we recommend consulting a qualified mechanic experienced with off-road vehicle modifications.
