About our Holden suspension upgrades

We stock suspension for the Holden Colorado, Colorado 7, Trailblazer, Rodeo, Frontera and Jackaroo, from CalOffroad Platinum, Fox, Bilstein and Polyair. Most of our Holden range is for the Holden Colorado, still one of the most common used utes on Australian roads and tracks.

Holden 4x4s use two main front suspension designs, so the right parts start with your model:

  • RG Colorado (2011 on), Colorado 7 and Trailblazer: independent front suspension with coil-over struts. The Colorado ute has leaf springs at the rear, while the Colorado 7 and Trailblazer wagons use rear coils.
  • RC Colorado (2008 – 2012) and Rodeo: independent front suspension with torsion bars, and leaf springs at the rear.

A practical tip: if you're lifting your Colorado much past 2 inches, plan for upper control arms and a diff drop to keep your camber and CV angles in check. Lifts over 50mm usually need engineering approval, so check the rules in your state. Choose your Holden below, or call us on 1300 225 494 for fitment help.

Suspension upgrades for Holdens

  • Lift kits: complete 2-inch kits matched front and rear for the Colorado, including the Fox 2-inch Tour Pack.
  • Shocks and struts: pre-assembled struts and rear shocks from Fox, Bilstein and CalOffroad for touring and towing.
  • Leaf springs: raised and heavy-duty rear leaf packs for the Colorado and Rodeo.
  • Upper control arms: restore caster and camber after a front lift.
  • Greasable shackles: serviceable rear shackles for a quieter rear end.
  • Airbags: Polyair airbags level the rear when you tow or carry a full load.
  • Snorkels: Safari snorkels for the Colorado and Rodeo.

Holden suspension FAQs

Do RC Colorado parts fit the RG Colorado?

No. The RC Colorado (2008 – 2012) uses torsion bars up front, while the RG Colorado (2011 on) uses coil-over struts, so front suspension parts are different. Select your Colorado generation above to see only the parts that fit.

Do Colorado parts fit the Colorado 7 and Trailblazer?

Some front parts do, such as strut spacer levelling kits and some front struts. Rear parts don't, because the Colorado 7 and Trailblazer use coil springs at the rear instead of leaf springs. Every listing shows its fitment.

What about Holden suspension returns?

All Holden suspension return requests require before and after height measurements from the centre of the wheel to the guard at each corner. Final heights are estimates and change with the load your vehicle carries. If you're not happy with the ride quality, check your tyre pressures, the weight behind the rear axle and any roof load, then contact us so we can help work out whether you need anything extra.

Do you offer installation services for Holden parts?

While CalOffroad doesn't offer direct installation services, we can provide you with comprehensive instructions and support to guide you through the installation process. If you're not comfortable doing the installation yourself, we recommend consulting a qualified mechanic experienced with off-road vehicle modifications.
