About our Isuzu suspension upgrades

We stock around 100 Isuzu suspension parts for the D-MAX and MU-X, from CalOffroad Platinum, CalOffroad Nitro Pro, Fox, Bilstein and Polyair. Both models use independent front suspension (IFS) with coil-over struts. The difference is at the rear: the D-MAX ute runs leaf springs, while the MU-X wagon runs coil springs.

That means front struts, upper control arms and diff drops are often shared between a D-MAX and an MU-X of the same generation, while rear springs and shocks are specific to each model. Check the fitment notes on each listing.

A practical tip: if you're lifting your Isuzu much past 2 inches, plan for upper control arms and a diff drop to keep your camber and CV angles in check. Lifts over 50mm usually need engineering approval, so check the rules in your state. Choose your Isuzu below, or call us on 1300 225 494 for fitment help.

Isuzu suspension FAQs

Do D-MAX suspension parts fit the MU-X?

Some front parts do. Struts, upper control arms and diff drops are often shared between a D-MAX and MU-X of the same generation. Rear springs and shocks don't, because the D-MAX uses leaf springs and the MU-X uses coils. Every listing shows its fitment.

What about Isuzu suspension returns?

All Isuzu suspension return requests require before and after height measurements from the centre of the wheel to the guard at each corner. Final heights are estimates and change with the load your vehicle carries. If you're not happy with the ride quality, check your tyre pressures, the weight behind the rear axle and any roof load, then contact us so we can help work out whether you need anything extra.

Do you offer installation services for Isuzu parts?

While CalOffroad doesn't offer direct installation services, we can provide you with comprehensive instructions and support to guide you through the installation process. If you're not comfortable doing the installation yourself, we recommend consulting a qualified mechanic experienced with off-road vehicle modifications.
