About our Ranger Raptor suspension upgrades

The Ranger Raptor isn't a standard Ranger with stickers. Both the 2018–2022 Raptor and the Gen 2 (2022 on) run long-travel front suspension and a coil-sprung rear axle located by a Watt's link, with Fox dampers from the factory. That means the Raptor needs its own springs and shocks: parts for the leaf-sprung standard Ford Ranger won't fit.

Most Raptor owners keep the factory dampers and change the springs. Our CalOffroad Platinum front and rear coil springs come in no-lift, 20mm, 40mm and 2-inch heights, in light, medium, heavy and extra-heavy duty. You can match ride height to the weight of your bar, drawers and touring gear.

A practical tip: choose rear spring duty by what you carry every day, not your heaviest trip, or the ride will be harsh when the tub is empty. Lifts over 50mm usually need engineering approval, so check the rules in your state. Choose your Raptor below, or call us on 1300 225 494 for fitment help.

Ranger Raptor suspension FAQs

Can I fit standard Ranger suspension to my Raptor?

No the ranger suspensions doesn't fit the raptor's suspension. The Raptor's rear is coil-sprung and its front geometry is different, so Ranger leaf springs, rear shocks and most front struts won't fit. Select your Raptor generation above to see parts that fit.

Do I need new shocks to lift my Raptor?

For small lifts, most owners keep the factory Fox dampers and change only the springs. For bigger lifts, call us with your setup before you order.

What about Ranger Raptor suspension returns?

Return requests need before and after height measurements from the centre of the wheel to the guard at each corner. Final heights are estimates and change with the load you carry, so check tyre pressures and the weight behind the rear axle before contacting us.

Do you install Ranger Raptor parts?

We don't install Ford Ranger Raptor parts, but we provide installation instructions and support. Otherwise, use a qualified 4x4 mechanic.
